In this CD I offer a picture of my musical experiences and inspirations from diverse places and different times. 

You will encounter all them woven together: Sicily, Mediterranean, Africa, the spirit of Coltrane, my passion for Jazz, and at the same time, contemporary European and Brazilian music.  As a man of the third millennium, my musicial compositions are characterized by these influences, their connections and "interferences". 

I have always been fascinated by the spontaneity of improvised music, how chance occurances happen at specific moments and places.  I am most interested in the unique instant and its feeling translated into music. 

For this photograph taken in Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of 2007 I invited some very special people who generously contributed to the production of this recording, "à vera," all of us playing together for the moment, without metronome and with little editing.
